HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION: The consolidation of the township schools and the development of high school was greatly facilitated by the improvement of roads and transportation. As the period progressed, getting a high school education became more desirable. While in 1911 there were only 25 students, by 1929 there were 70. The high school was established in 1910 when a third room was added to the grade school building. The first graduating class (1913) consisted of one male and nine girls. High school lasted only 3 years at that time.

The school continued in the 3 rooms until 1927 when after nearly six years of discussion the school boards of Liberty, Liberty township and Jackson Township set up a four-year Vocational High School on the second floor over Miller's Store..

The first year the school was open there was an assembly room, a home economics room, and agricultural room and an academic room. But as enrollment increased, a chemistry room was set up on the third floor, and the agricultural department was moved back to the old high school room in the grade building so that a foods laboratory could be set up.

It was obvious that high school was becoming more appealing to young men as the 1930 graduating class consisted of eleven males and only five females.
on Jan. 26, 1928 Scarlet Fever led to the closing of schools in Liberty. (it didn't say how long they were closed)
In 1940 Liberty began to serve Jackson and Cogan House Townships for schooling. At that point, the school became more of an area than a local-community.
Iin 1952 a New High School was built and in 1962 a New Elementary School was built.
